Scepticism is a one dangerous thing. It forces one to scrutinize tiny details and then perform deep mental analysis. One would certainly lose objectivty while subjectivity escalates so rocket high you are sometimes afraid that you’ll lose yourself soon. Ah, but there are always pros. With sufficent scepticism, you’ll certainly develop a protective shield around you. You’ll find that you don’t hurt so easily now.

I have evolved into becoming a pathological song lyric and drama sceptic. I judge the meanings of the lyrics and drama lines. I am truly a sceptic.

We post up our stats online, be it in the friendster account or in facebook or in msn…etc. We say we’re bored. We say we’ve got things on our mind. We say abstract things, haha, or maybe I do. We even say the simplest things like ‘i’m asleep’.

But we’re not merely advertising our experiences, we’re just expressing. We feel better expressing. We feel even better when we get attention. Deep inside, we all yearn for attention.

I recently heard news of friend’s and neighbour’s relatives who passed away. It occured to me that I should write something in case my life turn out to be short. No, I’m not suicidal. I just think that accidents can happen and life is too short to not enjoy it.

So, here, my “will”:

When I die…

… I wish I die peacefully.

… I hope I die with at least a family member or even a friend beside me.

… I wish I’ll be reassured that I don’t have to be afraid.

… I hope I do not die of degenerative diseases e.g. Alzheimer’s.

… I wish I die without being a burden to anyone.

… I hope I would have toured at least one foreign country.

… I wish I die a fashionable person and if I am old when I die I wish to have aged gracefully.

… I hope I had tried out all sorts of new and crazy things.

… I wish I had a great life with no regrets.

… I hope people around me will celebrate my life.

If Aladdin were to kindly lend me his lamp and Genie were to grant me just one wish, I would wish for a life mirror. Yes, a life mirror that reflects all your actions, thoughts and emotions. There are times when I realise the mistakes I’ve made and the stupidity I have, but there are also times when I wish I know what I’m doing; whether I’m right or wrong. So, genie, please grant me my wish.

There’s one thing that I learnt from human relationships; family ties, friendships & love relationships. And that is we have to be honest and express whatever that pleased us or upset us. But then again…when we try to do that, we are often repaid with the unexpected from the other party. You tell someone you weren’t pleased with a certain something that someone did. Sometimes, the other person appreciates what you say and tries not repeat that mistake. Sometimes though, the other person shows signs of unhappiness, shock and some, anger, that you actually felt upset. So what’s a person got to do? Tell or not? Be honest or not? Even if you approach the subject tactfully or with utmost care, you’re bound to receive unexpected feedbacks.

I walked along the long aisles,

I scanned through the shops,

Clothes, bags and shoes displayed.

I browsed,

I rummaged,

I casually walked by,

And then… I saw it,

Something that caught my eye.

AH, pricey item so it was,

I thought,

I considered,

I reviewed,

I hesitated,

I left.

Soon after, I realised I wanted it,

I needed it,

I really did.

So I turned back,

I sped along the aisles,

There it was, shiny and polished,

But wait, why was there a ‘NOT FOR SALE’ sign????

There wasn’t such a sign minutes ago.

I stood there,

I observed it,

I reread the sign,

Yes, it is now not for sale.

I’m currently in a blogger’s block. I have no inspiration whatsoever. No interesting details or facts of life to be noted down. Lately, life is like a calm sea. Definitely no fish in sight. Nope, not much waves too. I wowed to not go out to fish, though I’m dearly tempted to. I stand by the shore and stare out into the horizon. I can’t see what’s out there; all I see is the beautiful orange sunset. What lies beyond I do not see nor do I feel. I have no choice but to just stand where I am and watch what happens as the days go on…

Hah, indeed ‘no inspiration’ turned out to be inspirational. Entertained?
